SONIQS OPENING NEW HEADQUARTERS IN DOWNTOWN PHILADELPHIA

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- After several months of planning and collaboration across esports professionals, the Soniqs will be the first professional esports organization to join The Block, a new esports campus spearheaded by Nerd Street Gamers, a national esports infrastructure company.

The Soniqs, along with Nerd Street, will be joining a brand new facility in downtown Philadelphia. The Block features a 40,000 square-foot space, including broadcast and content creation studios, public esports training facilities and a staged venue for LAN competitions. Alongside this, the Soniqs will get their own private space for staff and players.

“This new space is the next step in our expansion of the Soniqs,” said Darren Moore, Soniqs’ General Manager. “With this state of the art space we have the room and resources to expand into new titles, increase player development and heighten our content abilities. I’m excited to work with Nerd Street to pursue this next phase for the organization.”

The five-year partnership will allow the Soniqs teams to train at the highest levels with every resource available on-site to help them find individual and team success. The organization will occupy nearly 3,000 sq ft of space, with more room available for future expansion. This space will include team training rooms, streaming booths with full production capabilities, private and open office space, dedicated VOD review and coaches room, player lounge area and a trophy room. Soniqs’ content team, support staff, and players will use this space on a daily basis and remote teams will bootcamp at the headquarters before major events.

Soniqs’ private headquarters will be outfitted with the latest technology needed for players to succeed. This includes exclusively using ViewSonic’s displays and gaming monitors across the space. Through this partnership with Nerd Street, the Soniqs will become the first professional organization to utilize The Block’s amenities.

“Not only are we creating one of the industry’s largest gaming landmarks with The Block, but with the Soniqs joining our campus we’re also expanding Philadelphia’s gaming community to include an extremely talented pro organization,” said Jonathon Oudthone, Vice President of Localhost at Nerd Street Gamers. “With this partnership, we’re elevating our mission of bolstering esports’ competitive integrity while showcasing the synergies and benefits we can create for esports players and organizations as they look to find a home within Localhost facilities across the country.”

While The Block will become the Soniqs’ new headquarters, a secondary branch will remain in Harrisburg to help operate the Soniqs’ new LAN Center, announced last month and opening later this year. Stay connected with the Soniqs for more details about the new space the organization will be moving into this fall.
